The challenge

UNICEF Mexico, an organization dedicated to protecting children’s rights, needed a digital tool to facilitate the safe reopening of schools in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tool had to provide up-to-date information on the status of schools and statistical data at the national level.

The solution

Giga IT partnered with UNICEF Mexico to develop a web application based on Azure infrastructure. The project involved a multidisciplinary team of developers in Europe, analysts and technicians from the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) of Mexico, and a team of Azure certified consultants from Giga IT.

We worked from the cloud infrastructure to implement an application that would provide information on school reopening and statistical data throughout the Mexican territory within the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic.
