This challenge came from UNICEF Mexico, the country office of the UN organization mandated to protect the rights of every child, especially the most disadvantaged.
We worked collaboratively using cloud computing infrastructure to implement an application that would provide information about the reopening of schools and statistical data throughout Mexico during the COVID-19 pandemic. This tool was created by a multidisciplinary team of developers in Europe, as well as analysts and technicians from the Mexican Secretariat of Public Education (Secretaría de Educación Pública, SEP).
Given the changes in the infrastructure characteristics which had to be introduced as a result of the adjustments made by the development team to improve application performance, at GIGA IT we worked to form an Azure-certified team to guarantee project success.
It is important to note that we worked in two complementary ways. On the one hand, all participating teams were built and coordinated, and on the other hand, there was quick adaptation to change, which allowed for timely and correct completion.
In the first stage, a joint work plan was developed with tasks which were closely monitored and carefully performed by our team of specialists following Azure best practices. Since this was an iterative process, the first stage was immediately followed by exhaustive test sets, required to ensure quality and correct performance of the infrastructure. In this sense, our solution involved configuration, management, optimization and monitoring of the Azure infrastructure by our team of certified consultants, who adhered to industry best practices.
Our client trusted us because both GIGA IT and our consultants have obtained appropriate Microsoft certification in Azure services. The use of cloud storage is constantly growing since it is an innovative and effective solution to increasing security breaches. This is why at GIGA IT we seek to provide our clients with peace of mind through Microsoft Azure consulting services.
Team management is not an easy task. However, we were able to achieve the goals outlined at the outset thanks to attention to detail and the strength of collaboration. To conclude, we are glad to know that we were able to guide UNICEF Mexico on the path to digital transformation and modernization by using infrastructures and applications to securely meet their commercial objectives.
